Semiconductor Senior Business Development Manager
The Position
Optimized for throughput, NI semiconductor test system features a unified software architecture that accelerates the process of developing, debugging, and deploying test programs through intuitive interactive software, powerful test management software, and prebuilt drag-and-drop examples for common semiconductor actions. The system is ready for the test cell with support for manipulators, handlers, and wafer probers, and a standard spring pin layout that enables highly transferrable load boards and test programs. To complete the solution, NI offers engineering services, bring-up services, training, and support. With the support of comprehensive portfolio of RF, Digital, and DC instrumentation, NI customers can scale the configurations up or down to include the instrumentation resources you need for RF and mixed-signal device test.
Now we are looking for a Semiconductor Business Development Manager in American to lead and accelerate our new business growth especially in areas of automation lab.
The Role
Business Development function in NI is a key strategic differentiator in NI, which is designed to focus on leading new business growth aligned with NI BU strategies. Business Development Managers are customer-facing best in class technical and business domain experts in NI's focused high potential growth areas, who will lead & enable the Sales organization to effectively generate new business through penetration into industry eco-systems and key accounts in the region. Business Development Managers also represent customer voice that will influence NI future offering decisions to best support business growth in the focused areas. The Semiconductor Senior Business Development Manager we are recruiting is a critical position to lead NI's growth towards new Semiconductor industry investment and developments trends in the market.
Key Responsibilities
•
• Develop and execute a Business Development Plan to lead sustainable business growth for next 1-3 years in your focused areas through leading and collaborating with other functions
• Work on top semiconductor accounts with account managers in your focus areas to identify and solve customer's new emerging challenges to establish NI's credibility.
• Identify Semiconductor test trends in the region and develop the corresponding NI values. Provide products feedback to NI BU offering management team.
• Lead the ongoing collection of market intelligence of competitive position and adoption of NI's value proposition in your focus areas and regions.
• Provide recommendations to regional leadership team on establishment of accounts' program/project priorities and resolving of issues that involve significant trade-offs between functionality, cost and time to market.
• Establish ecosystem through identifying and developing partner/integrator to drive business growth.
• Develop relationships with key technologists and managers at key customers at an executive level to provide direct input for new product test strategies.
• Work with BDMs/Sales globally to drive global industry value chain success.
Key Performance Objectives
• Reach and exceed revenue growth targets for next 1-3 years.
• Reach and exceed early design wins and milestones in top semiconductor accounts in focus regions and focus applications.
Basic Qualifications
• BSEE required, MSEE and/or MBA preferred
• 8+ years' experience in an engineering, applications, marketing role in semiconductor industry, automation lab test or design validation experience
• Extensive experience and domain knowledge in semiconductor chip design or lab validation.
• Tracked record of excellent customer engagement skills and interpersonal relationship skills
• Understanding of semiconductor customer R&D & Test process and the decision-making flow of test equipment selection.
• Strong sales & business acumen, strategic thinking capability and entrepreneurship spirit
• Integrity, logic-thinking & learning, superior soft skills including actively listening, negotiation, Innovative and self-motivation and result-oriented
• Acceptance of 30%-50% travel time
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated relationship with key semiconductors companies.
• Be a demonstrated team player and have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor companies' workflow.
• Be able to deal with change and uncertainty.
• Be highly creative and think outside the box
• Understanding or Mastery of NI tools would be a plus
