Director, Strategic Growth (Finance)



Compensation Range
$170,000.00 - $250,000.00 Annual Salary

Job Description Summary:
This role is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic initiatives, business development, marketing, and design management. This individual ensures project execution aligns with company objectives, fosters industry partnerships, and enhances brand visibility while overseeing design innovation.

Job Description:

• Identify and capitalize on emerging trends.

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with clients, developers, general contractors and other stakeholders.

• Develop long-term business growth plans to expand market reach.

• Establish and maintain a strong brand presence within the industry.

• Develop marketing strategies that enhance business visibility and attract key clients and talent.

• Oversee public relations efforts and industry networking initiatives.

• Develop opportunity pipeline and pre-positioning efforts

• Identify and prioritize potential clients

• Partner with internal and/ or external marketing in preparing proposals, presentations, brochures and other communications materials

• Create and manage proposal database

• Develop and maintain a positive sales culture

• Breakdown Design Build RFP's and develop design build capture approach

• Oversee project planning and execution to ensure timely delivery.

• Lead design management efforts, ensuring projects meet project requirements.

• Collaborate with teams to integrate innovative solutions.

• Develop, negotiate and monitor Architectural Engineering agreement based on deliverables and scopes services

• Lead design management effort to ensure that all possible efficiencies and best practices are incorporated into the design effort to utilize best construction practices

• Ensure that all design efforts result in a net reduction in ambiguities, and deficiencies such that the construction designs are biddable and constructible

• Monitor financial performance and ensure cost-effective project execution.

• Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and resource allocation.

• Assess and mitigate risks related to projects and operations.

• Continuous support to our D/B teams during execution

• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of medium to large multi-discipline design-build architectural-engineering projects

• Responsible for client relations with clients and design-build construction partners

• Participate in and facilitate work sessions for design development and contract documentation at the project sites in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines

• Facilitate document review and advise for constructability and value analysis

• Coordinate and develop preliminary schedules from post award to design completion

• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Skills or Experience

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience

• Extensive experience in business development, marketing, project management, and design management.

• Strong leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

• Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations.

• Proven ability to align strategic planning with revenue growth and operational excellence.

• 15+ years of design and/or construction management experience, including supervisory skills

• Prior experience with the design build solicitation process

• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency

• Organizational and communication skills

• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting

• Understanding of project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)

• Solid understanding and experience with green design, construction techniques and use of sustainable materials in construction

• Experience in Virtual Design, Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software on construction projects

• Demonstrated ability in design-build project management and delivery, including staff management, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control/quality assurance

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit, or other similar design software applications Apply
