Primary Purpose: Provides routine acupuncture and Oriental medicine therapy services to UC Health Integrative Medicine patients/clients. An acupuncturist may perform or prescribe the use of acupuncture, acupressure, and healthy lifestyle recommendations/ practices of Oriental medicine as delineated under Ohio revised code chapter 4762 to promote, maintain, and restore health. Work with Integrative Medicine to promote patient/participant wellness. Knowledge and Skills
Education: Master's degree, minimum required. Or Master's Level Certificate from ACAOM accredited institution.
License and Certification:
Active Board Certified Diplomat in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine by NCCAOM required.
Active status Licensed Acupuncturist or Oriental Medicine Practitioner licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio required.
Years of Experience: One - two years equivalent experience, minimum required.Three to five years equivalent experience, preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Minimum Requirement: 2 years minimum Clinical experience in the practice of acupuncture post graduation. Preferred: 3-5 years of Clinical acupuncture experience in a medical setting post graduation.
