Production Supervisor Rod and Bar (Government)

Job Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Rod and Bar Mill team at our plant located in Pueblo, Colorado.  As a Production Supervisor, you will develop, direct and manage a team of employees in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring the manufacturing and shipment of high-quality steel rod and bar products.

  • Time and attendance of employees     
  • Supervising the shipping of finished product
  • Performance evaluations of new hires
  • Developing, coaching and training of employees
  • Monitoring daily production and delay management
  • Building of operations & maintenance teamwork
  • Interface with all levels of personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent
  • Steel manufacturing experience preferred
  • Front-line supervisory experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge and experience in rolling mill preferred
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Proven ability to professionally communicate, in written and verbal forms
  • Proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity

Compensation

  • $71,800 to $90,000
