Vetsource is looking for a Trade Show and Events Planner to join its growing marketing team! In this position, you'll be responsible for the company's busy events schedule, which includes planning, organizing, and budgeting for trade shows, speaking engagements, and virtual events.
You'll ensure each event gets the attention it needs to be successful and that every detail is executed completely, accurately, on time, and on budget. Typical projects include managing logistics for trade shows, coordinating speaker events, and assisting with marketing projects. Up to 25% travel is required.
The ideal candidate is super organized and has great interpersonal skills, with experience managing trade show exhibits and speaking engagements. The candidate also has a passion for putting on seamless events and get excited about the opportunity to make a big impact.
Essential Duties:
Maintain a calendar of marketing events and trade show schedules, including exhibiting, speaking engagements, and sponsorships
Collaborate with trade show management agency and creative agencies to reserve space, arrange logistics, coordinate exhibit setup, tear-down, and generate new booth assets
Manage and maintain event/trade show inventory including displays, samples, collateral, badges, and giveaways
Manage trade show and events budget; recommend cost-savings activities and initiatives where applicable
Coordinate pre- and post-show marketing, including email, social media, and show-specific materials
Ensure corporate branding and messaging is consistent and specific to each event/trade show
Plan and execute other events and activities that could include: digital events, sales training events, user groups, focus groups, and other group activities relative to supporting marketing driven initiatives
Negotiate room rates, contracts, and asset development
Assist with various marketing-related projects and activities
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 years of experience working in a marketing function with events and/or trade shows
Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and vendors
Outstanding project management skills
Extremely organized and excellent attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
Experience managing virtual events including webinars and live social events
