 Job Title:  Human Resources Intern

Position Summary

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team in delivering core HR services and projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement.

 Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Support onboarding activities including new hire paperwork and orientation logistics.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS.
  • Assist with data entry and reporting for payroll, benefits, and compensation studies.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and escalate as needed.
  • Contribute to HR process improvement projects.
  • Participate in implementation of technical solutions to HR issues.
  • Proven subscription to the company's core values.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Work Environment

  • This position's functions are to be performed in office.
  • This position's regular work schedule is 8 hours per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 am – 4:45 pm with a 45-minute unpaid lunch period.
  • This role is required to regularly attend in-person meetings.
  • General office working conditions which may require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • The job is performed in a climate-controlled, open-office environment with moderate noise levels, primarily due to office equipment, conversations among employees, and talking on the phone. 

 Physical and Other Demands

The position primarily involves sitting, standing, and walking. Minimal physical effort is required, but employees may occasionally need to lift items up to 20 pounds.

This position also requires a substantial amount of typing.

Specific vision abilities require the ability to focus distant and near objects clearly. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach as well as operate a personal computer.

This position requires a substantial amount of multi-tasking and ability to shift focus between tasks, screens, and systems to obtain data.
