(S) Project Manager - Strategy & Insights (Marketing)
The Project Manager is charged with overseeing the Brand and Marketing Teams outstanding project calendars, planning for upcoming event cycle, and helping execute potential upcoming products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support a variety of different stakeholders within Art, Communications, and Strategy & Insights to gain alignment and transform tasks into a cohesive plan to drive completion of deliverables.
Build and develop the project calendar to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation to Brand and Marketing department.
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans.
Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from Brand and Marketing department.
Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders.
Develop, enhance and manage project plans through strong milestone delivery providing day-to-day updates and risk management on projects.
Facilitate retrospectives after completion of projects and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Support the strategic and business needs of Chief Brand Officer to enable thoughtful options that serve emerging needs.
Other duties as assigned by Product Marketing Manager, Director of Strategy & Insights, and Chief Brand Officer.
In addition to routine responsibilities, Project Manager will be expected to stay in a company provided downtown hotel, must be continuously available to liaise with the Brand and Marketing Department to maintain operations, and shifts during evening hours monitoring event social media must be covered.
4+ years project management experience or Bachelor's degree in relevant area of assignment
Hands-on experience with developing web technologies and software platforms for maximum usability
Proven success working with all levels of management
Proven track record of finishing scheduled projects on time and within budget
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Excellent analytical skills
Team player with collaborative spirit
Resourceful and adaptable
Tenacious and unflappable in high pressure situations
Frequently required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. This position potentially requires being in front of a computer screen & possibly using a telephone for extended periods of time. This position requires you to stay upwards of 7-10 consecutive days away from home. Personnel must be up to date with CDCs recommendations for COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters to work in the SXSW offices, attend SXSW in-person meetings, and work on-site during SXSW and SXSW EDU. Requires working in an office with a team in what can be a noisy environment
Work Location & Schedule
This Hybrid/Remote position is located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are Mon-Fri, 10am 6pm. Must be available to work additional hours from January March to include evenings and weekends.
