The Global Technology organization at Prudential is seeking a VP, Customer Domain Services Lead, Digital Technology. Reporting into the VP of Digital Technology, this highly visible role will be one of several Digital Leads responsible for building, influencing, and driving the adoption of common digital technology platforms that enables business priorities and achieves Prudential's Priority Experiences and Journeys. This role will be responsible for managing the Customer Domain Services Agile Team to provide the oversight and execution of Prudential's customer domain services landscape within Digital. The team is looking for a digital leader with industry experience: strong business acumen, using technology trends and best practices to solve Prudential's business problems, deep experience with customer domain services, to drive and own business relationships, a strategic and technical mindset as well as the ability to influence national & international capability build.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop all members of the Customer Domain Services agile team
Own and manage the Customer Domain Services, specifically Integration Services for Enterprise Data and Platforms and Customer Journeys Services to achieve business needs and Prudential digital goals
Partner and/or delegate work to be completed by digital product-centric, cross-functional agile team to ensure it realizes its objectives and key results
Work with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to perform business analysis, conduct customer research, and evaluate technical solutions to drive current and future platform vision and roadmaps
Work across the organization and with business stakeholders to resolve/communicate key issues, critical decisions, and priorities and manage expectations and delivery timelines
Ensure the team's initiatives are aligned with strategy to deliver business value
Analyze the feasibility of, and developing requirements to support existing platforms and create new digital capabilities
Plan and support business process to identify go to market strategies for new products and services
Define and drive user experience and technical design concepts, partnering with the Global Technology teams, Enterprise Architecture, Data Science, and other groups across Prudential enterprise
Focus on enabling differentiated customer experiences and self-service capabilities
Define and execute new concepts in customer domain services, including but not limited to personalization and omnichannel experiences
Conduct competitive and market analysis and maintain awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace
Establish and drive overall customer domain services strategy and work closely with Prudential's CDO team to develop program plans and roadmaps to support the product delivery
Oversee the budget allocations and resources for the Customer Domain Services team and enable the team to adapt to changing levels of demand and technology, while reporting to the VP of Digital Technology
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
15+ years of technology development and leadership experiences in global financial services, technology or consulting industries
7+ years' experience working on any aspect of customer domain services
Direct experience managing and leading agile teams, and cross collaborating with other technology organizations within Prudential, such as CTO, CDO, etc. in a global environment
Organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes with multiple business units and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business priorities and a strong work ethic
Endlessly curious in how emerging digital and technology trends can translate into excellent customer experiences
Data-driven mindset, using quantitative tools and analyzing unstructured feedback to inform the development of solutions
Understanding of building loosely coupled API services platforms using tools like Java SpringBoot, Apigee API Gateways, etc.
General understanding of globally-operated Cloud Services/Platforms (preferably AWS)
Knowledge of AWS technologies such as:
container technologies like ESC, Fargate, EKS
databases – DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, S3
networking technologies VPC, hybrid cloud setup
Experience in Agile work environment
Strong bias for data-driven decision-making
