The Director of Sales Planning is responsible for a portion of the B&G Brand portfolio. He/She works cross-functionally with Field Sales and Marketing to help translate Brand strategy into channel/customer strategy and develop the Field Sales execution priorities for distribution, promotion, shelf and pricing. This includes allocating and monitoring trade spending by customer to insure execution against Brand pricing and promotion guidelines and driving ROI improvement. He/She partners with Marketing to establish priorities for assortment and slotting allowances for core and new items to achieve our fair of items within the category. The Director of Sales Planning collaborates extensively with Marketing for all new product launches to insure all selling materials, planning timelines and KPI's are in place for flawless execution. The role also works closely with Category Insights to co-create compelling selling stories to enable our shelf and assortment objectives. The Director of Sales Planning leads the internal annual customer business planning process between Sales and Marketing and establishes key timelines and deliverables, and facilitates periodic planning sessions throughout year. This position serves as a liaison between Field Sales and Supply Chain to insure critical customer inputs are incorporated into the Sales & Operations Planning process. The Director of Sales Planning may have direct reports and is responsible for talent development and annual performance reviews for his/her team.
