Major Duties:
• A servant leader, facilitator and coach for the Agile team(Scrum, Kanban or others...)
• Facilitates cadence of Sprint ceremonies, identifies risks, track dependencies and remove impediments
• Motivates the teams to be self-organizing and encourages accountability
• Ability to collaborate with a team to identify and resolve problems and remove impediments/barriers for the team.
• Foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics and meet Sprint commitment as planned with Dev folks
• Helps the team coordinate with other teams and communicates status to management as needed
• Ensures transparency by communicating Sprint planned goals, progress, milestones, risk, issues and dependencies to all the level of stakeholders
• Own administrative task for the team in consultation with AppDev Managers, monitor and keep track of financials, budget, estimation, forecast and report to the management as needed
• Helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
• Support and sustain team agreements i.e. Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP), Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban, and any other process rules that team has agreed
• Discuss and agree the Agile metrics with the team, track and communicate the same
• Work with PO and assist Tech leads on release plan and GO/NO-GO
• Coach product owner, business and outside groups affected by the project to help them understand how the adopted Agile framework works and how their own workgroups may be affected
• Understands business and technical details to some level which helps effective coordination with product and development team
• Helps the team to reflect and retrospect and at times challenge the team to drive to embrace relentless improvement mindset
• Coordinates with the impacted team(s), for example, technical upgrades or vendor driven project. Communicate the plan, dates, progress and highlight milestones
• Shields the team from external interference to help the team not become distracted from achieving its Sprint commitments
• Seek and Provides regular feedback to and from the team and celebrates team's success
• Helps the team to fully embrace Agile mindset, values, principles and behaviors
Experience:
• Total IT experience - 10-12 years
• Bachelor degree or equivalent. (IT or Computer Science Engineering Preferred)
• 3 to 5yrs of Scrum Master experience and Agile at enterprise scale(Preferred) in any well-known software environment
• 1 to 3 yrs of experience in financial services industry. (Preferred)
Knowledge/Skills:
• Certification(s) in Agile methodologies (PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP or Scaled Agile SM or Advance SM certification or equivalent) preferred
• Experience on working with distributed global teams
• Mentor and coach the teams on Agile methodology and Scrum values and process
• Good understanding and experience on TDD, ATDD, DevOps, CI, CD concepts
• Strong communication skills
• Strong fundamentals of iterative and incremental development; and Metrics
• Strong in Agile methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
• Strong understanding of software development processes and procedures
• Familiarity with common Agile and Quality Engineering practices
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of basic software development methodologies and fundamentals (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall, etc.)
• Experience with developing, testing and deploying software utilizing a rapid, iterative delivery method
