Construction Inspector TET IV (Architecture)

What you'll be challenged to do:

Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC, now a division of TranSystems, is excited to announce we are actively searching for a Construction Inspector TET IV to join our award-winning team in the Marine-Industrial department. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The following duties are typical of the position but are not all-encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule.
  • Serves as a principal inspector on a small to medium-sized construction project; may lend technical guidance to State personnel assigned to project.
  • Reviews contractor's operations to ensure technical adherence to plans and specifications. 

 


Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. 
    Five years of full-time employment in highway engineering technician activities. College credits and/or N.I.C.E.T. Level 3 or higher certification may be
    substituted for experience.
     
  • Elementary knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and English.  
  • Knowledge of engineering methods/techniques. Ability to compute simple engineering data; work from simple plans and specifications; make drawings, tracings, and notes.  
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions, and work effectively with others.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
  • Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that TranSystems serves.

Work Environment:

In field, on construction sites. Driving, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 75 lbs.
