Community Engagement Manager (Finance)
You have a valid and current valid driver's license with a clean driving record seven or more years of driving history.
You possess a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or have accrued an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
You're willing and able to work a flexible schedule including most weekends and some evenings.
You currently hold or be able to obtain relevant qualifications, including a Forklift Certification, DOT physical, and maintain DOT certification.
You have 1-2 years of experience managing people and have a experience managing logistics, supply control, and inventory management and requisition procedures.
You have a current passport and previous experience with Microsoft office, Google Docs, and other database software programs.
You have previous experience working in a non-profit environment and have an understanding of international development, public health, or food insecurity.
You are an effective communicator and have strong presentation and public speaking skills with experience speaking to large groups.
You have the ability to effectively and constructively coach, train, and provide feedback to staff and are comfortable building development plans, goal setting, and completing annual performance reviews.
About the Team
Our Community Engagement team leads the charge of recruiting potential donors, event hosts and volunteers. We are a team of volunteer and donor relationship professionals fundraising professionals with the collective goal of ending world hunger through the communities we serve! We operate a face-paced mission-driven volunteer and donor engagement program with events in businesses, faith-based organizations and educational institutions. We believe that we lead a movement to end hunger.
What You Will Own and Improve
Community Engagement: You'll be responsible for promoting programs and developing community engagement opportunities through approaching and building relationships with religious congregations, civic organizations and other community groups. You will coordinate and facilitate meal packaging events and track and manage incoming cash and donations while properly controlling the budget. You'll be expected to serve as the primary contact for local media outlets and be a knowledgeable source of information on Rise Against Hunger. You will cultivate an open line of communication with various departments throughout the organization and promote collaboration and team in order to maximize revenue.
Warehouse Management: You will be trusted to apply leadership and decision-making abilities to handle day to day operations. You will process all documentation properly, including invoices, bill of ladings and receipt of orders. You will track and keep records of meal production related to projections, meals shipped and more. You will ensure that the warehouse facilities meet health, safety and sanitation standards in accordance with FDA, USDA and OSHA standards.
People Management: You will be responsible for managing your team of internal staff to ensure their professional growth and success in reaching development goals. You will coordinate with your team to ensure programs and organizational goals are consistently met and cultivate lasting relationships with donors and volunteers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs. throughout shift, occasionally up to 75 lbs. and move pallets weighing up to 2500 lbs. utilizing pallet jacks and forklifts.

Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
