Job Description

Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for a Full-time Mechanic, at our Midland, TX facility.  If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity!

SUMMARY

The Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. Reporting directly to the Lead Mechanic, this role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with team members and drivers. Key duties include equipment inspections, diagnostics, parts ordering, maintaining repair records, and ensuring safe, efficient repairs. Experience with various pumps (triplex, transfer, and chemical treating) is preferred. A CDL A license is also preferred, and candidates should have basic hand tools and be open to overtime and occasional overnight travel.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experienced full line mechanic preferred.
  • Report directly to the lead mechanic.
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions and run diagnostic tests to discover functionally issues.
  • Check daily calls or emails from Lead mechanic on equipment issues.
  • Send PO request with full requirements for parts needed.
  • Make sure to have the basic hand tools to complete task in a safe and timely manner.
  • Check with Lead mechanic on repair time frame and completion of repairs.
  • Repairing and performing preventative maintenance on primarily heavy-duty trucks and trailers, but may work on a variety of other vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and electronic systems.
  • Clean equipment area performing task and components of engines and apply correct lubricants if applicable.
  • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and within a costly manner.
  • Track all repair receipts and conduct Repair Bill / Maintenance Report.
  • Provide repair consultation to drivers, managers when called upon.
  • Experienced with triplex pumps, product transfer pumps, and chemical treating pumps.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • CDL A license is preferred.
  • Will be required to have some tools.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and changing work environment.
  • Should be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends when necessary.
  • Successful candidate should be self-motivated.
  • This position will occasionally require overnight travel.
