Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA with branch offices worldwide; we manufacture material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms. MTS works closely with DE to ensure those products in NPD programs are designed to have the highest possible manufacturability characteristics; ensuring highest possible quality, safety, and lowest possible cost while meeting key performance characteristics. MTS is responsible for developing cutting edge manufacturing processes as part of our NPD programs and bring these processes to fruition. MTS is also a key component of advancing AWP manufacturing capability. This includes automation, robotics, and advanced materials distribution systems.
Responsibilities: The Materials Manager - Materials Distribution Systems position will be responsible for leading an organization that develops and implements materials distribution systems for New Product Development introduction. The organization this TM leads will be expected to closely partner with NPD Engineering (Design and Manufacturing) and plant sustaining team ("receiving" team). Additional responsibilities for this team will include procurement (buying) for NPD projects and supporting supplier selection (supply chain startup). This team helps to manage BOM and supply chain development from concept to implementation of new products. Considerations for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are required in all manufacturing decisions. The team member should be able to perform within principles of lean manufacturing and just-in-time delivery.

Typical work hours will be four 10 hour days, Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday. Candidates should expect to work additional hours/days as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
