Coop - Optical Coating Engineer (Engineering)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an onsite Optical Coating Engineering Co-op . This position begins onsite January 2022 and runs through August 2022.
Relocation/housing stipend is offered to those who meet the eligibility requirements. Students are responsible for securing their own housing.

Day to day activities can involve significant interaction with various functional groups such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering and Manufacturing, allowing for additional broad learning opportunities.
As an Optical Coating Engineer (Co-op) you will support the Optical Coating Department in daily engineering operations and assignments. The department executes both production and R&D efforts to produce thin film coatings for a variety of critical applications on high-value optical components. The focus of this Co-op opportunity will be supporting the commissioning of a new coating facility. You will work side-by-side with both engineers and technicians in our cleanroom labs overseeing the operation, production and troubleshooting of thin film coating applications as well as performing measurements using analytical instruments and processing/interpreting results. The Optical Coating Engineer Co-op will have exposure to many unique thin film designs, applications, deposition techniques and analytical tools as well as an opportunity to interface with many departments involved in the manufacturing of optical components and systems.

This position requires the incumbent to access export-controlled information.
