Summary: PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate RSAF F-15SG and United States Air Force (USAF) F-15E aircraft and equipment assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing located at Mountain Home AFB (MHAFB), Idaho. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules. The Weapons End of Runway (EOR) shall perform duties to include tracking weapons expenditures, rounds fired tracking, and oversight of armament systems maintenance and loading operations of RSAF aircraft IAW AFI 21-101.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 1. Perform EOR duties on a daily basis to accommodate the flying schedule. 2. Install and remove all armament Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) to Facilitate Other Maintenance (FOM) or for repair action, to include acceptance and transfer inspections. 3. Perform aircraft troubleshooting and repair actions and perform aircraft armament systems functional checks and on-equipment Dash-6 inspection requirements on in-use AME. 4. Shall maintain qualification on designated weapons-related qualification tasks for the RSAF, to include installation/removal of P5 pods or similar pods. 5. Ensure RSAF weapons technicians can supervise the loading and unloading of one aircraft at a time. The contractor shall assist in training all aspects of aircraft loading/unloading operations. 6. When tasked, perform Weapons Expediter duties to include tracking weapons expenditures, tracking rounds fired and oversight of armament systems maintenance and loading operations IAW AFI21-101. 7. Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager. Required educational/skills background: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S.). 3. Minimum six (6) years previous experience in weapons loading/maintenance duties. 4. Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance. Physical Demands: This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions, including the F-15 cockpit. Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required.
Work Environment (ADA): May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.
