Prudential's Asset Management, Financial Management & Corporate Technology (AMFMCT) department is seeking a software engineer to support Prudential's Long-Term Care (LTC) business technology.

Your Impact:

  • Work with client management and senior technology team members to identify and specify the business requirements

  • Research and evaluate solutions, recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems program design

  • Develop systems specifications and flow diagrams and present to other team member

  • Learn the Prudential ecosystem and be able to work within the guardrails of the company's technology vision and strategy

  • Collaborate within an agile scrum team

  • Devise data verification methods and standard systems procedures and participate in systems testing

  • Demonstrate experience with taking intelligent risks and leveraging a ‘test and learn' mentality

  • Perform related duties as assigned or requested

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Proven aptitude, ability and passion for learning new technical and soft skills

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis

  • 1-3 years of experience working as a software engineer on distributed applications

  • Experience working with, designing and writing SQL queries

  • Ability to code using Python, HTML and scripting languages

  • Understanding and familiarity with different AWS technologies (Redshift, Athena, Glue and others)

  • Knowledge of Snowflake

  • Experience using business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau)

  • Ability to understand and code REST APIs

  • Understanding of ETL best practices and methods

  • Knowledge of software development frameworks (Agile, SaFE, Scrum)
