Quality Engineer III (Project Management)
As a Quality Engineer III, you will serve as the key quality liaison between Jabil and global customers or suppliers. You will play a critical role in driving advanced quality planning, resolving complex quality issues, and supporting global new product introductions. Your work ensures product and process consistency across global sites, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Lead the development and maintenance of QA plans for global new product introductions using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and process optimization strategies.
Participate in quoting and early development activities, ensuring quality considerations are integrated from the start.
Evaluate inspection processes and recommend improvements using inspection aids and documented standards.
Design, implement, and support customer-specific global training programs.
Establish systems for efficient document control, review, and storage for global customer accounts.
Review internal, supplier, and customer discrepancies; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Perform regular documentation audits and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Support supplier improvement efforts and participate in vendor assessments as applicable.
Drive standardization of manufacturing processes across Jabil sites for assigned customer programs.
Serve as a technical resource to internal teams and customers for complex quality issues.
Promote and support proactive process improvement efforts using quality methodologies.
Comply with all safety, health, and company security policies and regulations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of quality engineering or related manufacturing experience.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of APQP and quality system regulations.
Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, A3, Fishbone) and CAPA processes.
Proficiency in inspection techniques, documentation control, and quality auditing.
Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
Ability to manage multiple global accounts and collaborate across teams and regions.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems.
Experience supporting global manufacturing sites or international customer accounts.
Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance (ISO, FDA, etc.).
Experience in electronics manufacturing or highly regulated industries is a plus.
