Engineering Intern, Jacksonville: Summer 2019 (605040) (Architecture)
Responsible for providing assistance with engineering services including process development, process support, and/or the design, development, and/or processing of medical devices under the direction of a project leader or manager.
- Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost - Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts - Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons - Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product - Generating design assurance documentation for the project - Participating in project teams (meetings, presentations, etc.)
- Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential. - An understanding of human physiology and joint mechanics is preferred. - Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment. - Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline. Mechanical, Biomedical and Industrial Engineering majors preferred. - Programming experience with tools such as Matlab, Fortran, Python (scripting language), etc. - GPA of 3.2+ preferred - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
