Bench/Repair Technician (Finance)

Primary focus of this role is to perform electro-mechanical service on Misonix/Bioventus equipment and handpieces and to document work performed. Must have ability receiving training, follow written procedures and verbal instructions and work at a pace that keeps up with department workload.

What you'll be doing

  • Evaluates, troubleshooting, and tests demo and customer returned equipment and accessories to factory specifications.
  • Record accurate service information / data for each service RMA job completed on handwritten forms and electronically in our service software database.
  • Receive training on new procedures and demonstrate good competency by successfully performing the required steps.
  • Communicate with fellow Bench/Repair Technicians, management, Engineering and Quality to request help, get advice or report anything unusual.
  • Keep up to date with email, required training, follow procedures and company policies and attend required meetings. Strive to learn each day.
  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the table
  • Education: High school diploma, Associate Degree or vocational diploma / certificate in electronics repair or comparable technical experience. Military training in an electro-mechanical service discipline is also acceptable.
  • Experience: At least two years customer service-related experience along with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair background with soldering skills a plus. Medical equipment service experience is preferred.
  • Computer skills and experience with MS Office (MS Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Strong English language skills required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy equipment/boxes, up to 50 pounds.
