Production Technician I
The Production Technician Level I supports all aspects of Repair Center operations, including process development, process maintenance, process revisions, process implementation and failure analysis.
What you'll be doing:
· Test of units using test programs and recording performance results.
· Replacement of parts and assemblies as required according to the procedures.
· Testing and calibration of units prior to repair action.
· Assist in the preparation of configuration documentation (FADs).
· Assist in the development of new processes.
· Review existing processes and make recommendations for improvements.
· Assist or take lead in the implementation of new or revised processes.
· Perform in house calibrations on test equipment.
· Maintain test equipment and systems.
· Undertake failure analysis on warranty product returns.
· Train Repair Center staff on both existing and new processes.
· Perform follow up training effectiveness reviews.
· Manage Repair Center test software control.
· Participate in the evaluation of potential Process Deviations and/or potential Engineering Change Orders (ECO's).
· Participate in the evaluation of and research into potential repair or manufacture of new product.
· Ensuring that all soldering and other repair or manufacturing techniques are performed to the required standard.
· To assist, as required, in actual production activities for the Repair Center
· To operate in accordance with the Management System and to recommend changes for its improvement
· Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for:
· Recognized higher level qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering.
· 1 - 3 years of hands-on experience in repairing or manufacturing electro-mechanical devices.
· Understanding of computer storage Interfaces and protocols.
· Experienced with training staff on repair/manufacturing procedures.
· Basic familiarity with document control processes.
· Basic familiarity with failure analysis.
