DIV DELI/BAKERY MERCHANDISER (Finance)



Work collaboratively with district and store teams in the execution of store sales plans. Partner with Corporate to coordinate the Deli/Bakery Merchandising strategies and plans for respective division, including achievement of all budgeted goals for their department. Ensure execution of and establish store accountabilities for budgeted sales plans for the Deli/Bakery Department and provide upward feedback. Address issues that hinder stores' ability to meet/exceed customers expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, pricing, regulatory and food safety. Coach and develop of direct reports, district and stores teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies and maintain a supply of qualified, promotable individuals.   • Store Management experience.
  • System and software knowledge.
  • Ability to establish priorities, consumer trends, project and react to business issues.
  • Ability to manage and lead people.

Desired

  • Successful Store Manager experience
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Procurement or category management background.
  • Deli Sales Manager experience
  • Deli/Perishable Coordinator experience
  • One to two years' experience in Procurement
  • Effectively communicate Deli/Bakery plans through frequent and timely store visits and encourage valuable feedback from store management, district coordinators, and Deli/Bakery associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits, and assist program development and evaluation.
  • Resolve store issues and remove barriers that prohibit the stores from implementing the budgeted Deli department sales plan.
  • Review store orders for adjustments and work closely with the Transition Team and Corporate Departments to resolve product delivery issues.
  • Develop division sales budgets and measurement of execution.
  • Understand and react to the competitive landscape within the division and provide necessary feedback to all stakeholders.
  • Oversee the execution of the weekly sales plan to include modifying recommended ad retails, supplemental rollers, incorporating order guide information
  • Develop and execute of local seasonal and special merchandising programs.
  • Maintain accurate classified reports to include both the preliminary and current.
  • Monitor the daily/weekly reports to identify any product cost or transportation charge corrections.
  • Participate in pre-plan sessions, coordinate sales plan execution meetings and present sales plan to key division staff.
  • Create/Modify and publish weekly sales notes.
  • Ensure all store associates and district team members have a complete understanding of all aspects and functions of the Deli department and its alignment with the Customer 1 st Business Strategy.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
