Digital Marketing Specialist (R&D)

Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the digital and social media team with the execution of digital marketing initiatives in alignment with department strategies and overall business objectives. This role supports in the areas of social media content and execution, website optimization, content strategy and development and more. Supports development of marketing plans that best position and promote unique products and services in the digital space.

 

Job Roles

  • Assists in creating and executing content and editorial calendars and communication plans
  • May identify opportunities to enhance social media interaction with clients and/or the general public
  • Supports development of social media content
  • Provides localized social media support for individual business unit social media efforts
  • May collaborate with creative team and marketing team on social media platform content
  • Coordinates with field associates to ensure day-to-day digital marketing-related requests are being handled
  • Troubleshoots internal and external questions, issues and complaints quickly and efficiently
  • Tackles an array of problems, questions or comments received from external and internal customers; answers questions, tailors solutions or escalates accordingly
  • Monitors activity on social media and external review websites (i.e. Yelp, Google Places, etc.); replies to comments as appropriate and within company guidelines
  • Audits social media channels to ensure retail locations are accurately represented on Facebook Local (location, contact information, content, etc.)
  • Applies proficient knowledge of Google Adwords and other paid search platforms
  • Monitors the digital media landscape for opportunities
  • Supports communication needs through a proactive, collaborative and creative approach to ensure business needs are met

Role Specific Knowledge

  • Experience in working within a marketing/business intelligence environment
  • Experience working with a social media management tool, such as Sprout Social or similar
  • Experience working with analytical software (e.g. Google Analytics, SiteCatalyst, Coremetrics, etc.)
  • Experience in working with website optimization tools such as SEM Rush or BrightEdge.
  • Experience working with Google Adwords and other paid search platforms
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing client reports and presentations
  • Experience in executing tactical marketing objectives

 

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a digital marketing role
