Registered Nurse - Inpatient - General Internal Medicine (Healthcare)



Work Schedule:

90% FTE, day/evening with an every other weekend rotation (Saturday and Sunday). Holidays required. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered, this position also includes a shift/weekend differential. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI

General Internal Medicine (F6/5) is a fast-paced medical unit that offers challenging and rewarding nursing opportunities.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Help provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and education.
  • Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for general care patients with complex medical diagnoses.
  • The General Internal Medicine Unit is a 28-bed inpatient, general medicine unit focused on high-quality patient care and medical education. The unit is home to all three general medicine teaching services; most of F6/5's patients are on these services.
  • You may also care for patients with infectious diseases as part of the Special Pathogens population.

Education:

Preferred – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Work Experience:

Minimum – Six (6) months of relevant clinical experience.

Preferred – Two (2) years of recent experience in acute care in medical/surgical nursing.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification.

Preferred – Medical-Surgical Nurse Certification.
