Subcontractor Operations Manager (Maintenance)



The Subcontractor Operations Manager supports the Sales and Project Development Teams to achieve objectives specific to subcontractor participation.  Collaborates with Project, Trade, and Operations Planning Managers to execute the Project Management Plan, supporting multiple technical disciplines to ensure the project objectives are achieved. This role may also be referred to as Service Advisor.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor safety standards and exemplify those standards through personal action.
  • Collaborate with Project and Trade Managers and Subcontractors to ensure quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Communicate regularly with Project, Trade, and Operations Planning Managers regarding project progress.
  • Communicate with vessel representatives to ensure clear understanding of needs.
  • Provide subcontractor recommendations.
  • Assess subcontractor performance, maintain internal Preferred Subcontractor Register.
  • Attending Project meetings:
    • Pre-Kickoff meeting
    • Customer Kickoff meeting
    • Project Production meeting
    • Post-Project review meeting
  • Attend Daily Action Plan meeting.
  • Maintain Subcontractor contact information in Rybovich CRM.
  • Collaborate with Project and Trade Managers during development of Subcontractor AWAs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

 

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area. 
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately. 

 

Technical and Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior marina experience preferred
  • ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
