This position is located in Mill Creek, OK.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Inspects work area and equipment prior to beginning operation in accordance with MSHA 30 CFR Parts 46, 56, and 62, State, and Company requirements.
Operates, adjusts, inspects, and cleans processing machinery and associated equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Operates computerized process control equipment and makes necessary process control changes to maintain required production rates and product quality. Process instrumentation and control is a constantly evolving field, and flexibility and adaptability are important in this position.
Performs operating repairs, adjustments, preventive maintenance, and lubrication of processing machinery and associated equipment as directed.
Prepares bags for filling and operates packaging equipment, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and related equipment, and also hand-stacks bags to insure sand bags are stacked properly on pallets and/or slip-sheets and prepared for storage and shipment.
Removes broken bags from bagging circuit. Cleans and disposes of waste bags and sand as required.
Makes programming changes and adjustments to ink-jet printers and label machines used in identifying lot numbers, products, etc.
Moves palletized bags in palletizing areas and warehouses using forklift.
Performs laboratory tests and analysis on silica products and adjusts processing machinery, associated equipment, and product flow accordingly.
Inspects, cleans, and loads trucks and railroad cars in accordance with established procedures, operating requirements, and shipping schedules. Installs dunnage materials as required
Operate the railcar mover and perform raw sand unloading duties as required. (The Mill Operators have primary responsibility for operating the raw sand area including first right to any overtime worked in this area.
Performs daily cleanup and wash downs to control dust exposures and maintain housekeeping and plant appearance.
