Fabric Manager (Manufacturing)

Develop seasonal fabric requests as handed off by Fabric R&D Director or by Sourcing that meet performance standards, cost requirements, and brand strategy.
Support key product initiatives through fabric research with Western Hemisphere mills and DV-Managed vertical vendors.
Manage development process in accordance with PTM Calendar to ensure all deliverables meet deadlines.
Ensure all fabrications meet Lands' End's performance, testing, and sustainability requirements to support marketing claims.
Manage and proactively analyze development and bulk fabric testing data to ensure fabric approvals are met along with a drive for continuous improvement of fabric quality and performance.
Provide expertise to cross-functional partners on fabric construction and content, fabric finishing technical capabilities, and the impacts to customer expectations for quality and performance
Identify and proactively engage cross-functional partners when issues arise, providing recommendations for viable options/solutions.
Maintain IPLM Material Library and ensure global fabric team adherence to aligned procedures for setting up and maintaining fabrics and trims.
Maintain the fabric and trim resource library, ensuring it is a ready resource for Design and Sourcing partners.
Support end-to-end digitalization of the fabric development process, using digital fabric libraries, creating fabric physics files for 3D design systems, and leveraging systems solutions to replace emails and spreadsheets.
Build a strong network of relationships working between cross-functional teams with the ability to negotiate and build consensus.
Participate as a key stakeholder in achieving company sustainability goals by developing materials with sustainable fibers and resources.
Partner collaboratively with LE HK Fabric team to ensure consistent and non-duplicative processes achieve seamless systems and cross-functional experiences.
Drive process improvements used by global Fabric team in DV, NY, HK.
Develop, coach, and lead team.
Must follow all safe work practices, escalate unsafe conditions, and report incidents
Essential Skills
College degree in fabric/textile technology
5+ years related experience
2+ years of management experience preferred
Technical expertise and strong understanding of weaves, knits, dyeing, Washes, denim and printing
Strong understanding of fabric testing and testing data management and analysis
Ability to drive calendar dates and deliverables
Experience in communication with vendors, mills and offshore offices
