Epiq's Spend Management group helps law firms and legal departments better understand their spend and take action on reducing costs and improving services. We use proprietary AI, Business Intelligence, and expert-led data analysis to deliver actionable insights through spend analysis, and help clients execute on those insights with additional consulting and services that support end-to-end spend management. Position
Senior Consultant, Spend Management (US)
The consultant is critical to the development, implementation, and ongoing management of spend and outside counsel management engagements for our corporate clients. In this role, you will understand the priorities of clients, manage and execute on the collection, transformation, and analysis of large spend data projects, and develop actionable strategies the client can use to reduce costs and improve efficiencies within their legal department.
Successful candidates will have experience in Strategic Sourcing and Spend Analysis, be an expert in telling compelling stories with data, and be able to consult with clients on an ongoing basis to refine and measure the results of their costs savings initiatives. As clients today expect advanced, dynamic reporting solutions, candidates should have substantial business intelligence capabilities and will have built dashboards in leading business intelligence tools from a consultative (non-developer) standpoint.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to continuously improve Epiq's spend management solutions, design new solutions and build scalable processes that can be extended to Epiq's significant client footprint.
Essential Requirements
Experienced project manager
Advanced data analytics skills and data storytelling
Experience in spend analysis, spend management, sourcing, or legal operations
Prior consulting experience or experience delivering data-driven client presentation preferred
Strong Excel experience required
Experience working with leading business intelligence tools (PowerBI) preferred
Interest in developing solutions and managing new product development
Experience in vendor management, including selection, performance evaluation, and cost control.
Ability to develop and manage RFP events, including drafting RFPs, evaluating responses, and negotiating terms.
Strong understanding of the legal category, nuances of legal spend and legal billing, and experience working with law firms or corporate legal department
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required, graduate degree preferred
Background in a related field, such as spend analysis, strategic sourcing, consulting, or legal operations, and experience with data analysis, preparation, cleaning and/or data modeling
Travel: Occasional as needed
The Compensation range for this role is 100,000.00 to 150,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
