The Sr. Product Manager – Persona IQ® is responsible for leading all downstream marketing activities for the Personal IQ® business. Reporting to the Product Director - Technology & Data Solutions, this role is responsible for defining, developing, and executing brand strategies for the world's first and only smart implant, Persona IQ. The Sr. Product Manager will collaborate and partner with an extended cross-functional team including leaders from Marketing Communications, Market Access, Medical Education, Clinical Affairs, Sales, Sales Training, Finance and Upstream Marketing. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Contribute to the creation, execution and oversight of strategies that will maximize profitability and share of the portfolio. • Creating and executing business plans through marketing strategies, goals, and tactics; Responsible for development, execution, and business performance of all programs designed to meet business objectives • Work with cross functional business partners to refine and execute the strategy. Communicates key strategies, insights, and initiatives between field and internal teams. Gains alignment across a matrix environment to support goal achievement • Identify customer segments and create targeting prioritization • Identify and alleviate inefficiencies in sales cycle/customer purchase experience • Work with Sales leadership on monitoring effectiveness of commercial models and assessing adjustments • Work with upstream Marketing to identify competitive gaps in product portfolio. • Collaborate with Sales Training and Sales Leadership on content, material creation, and education strategy for diverse sales force needs • Collaborate with Medical Education on customer education and events • Provide society, trade show, and locally hosted VIP programs support; Utilize the opportunity at these events to gain customer mindshare through promotional messaging tools and event programs • Develop and manage relationships with physician consultants and KOLs for marketing engagement opportunities • Researches, analyzes, and monitors product line financials, demand trends, customer movements, so that market opportunities may be capitalized on, and the effects of competitive activity may be reduced; Responsible for the financial performance of relevant product lines as well as management and monitoring of key accounts, product trends, and initiatives • Collaborate and partner with Marketing Communication to create and implement marketing assets and collaterals
Expected Areas of Competence
• Developing positioning and commercial launch strategies that connect business goals and organizational strategies with market conditions • Project-managing commercial launch activities across functions • The ability to understand and translate data into actionable insights to support decision making is required • Demonstrated ability to influence and impact others through building and supporting strategic options and reaching alignment is required, excellent presentation capabilities in the context of business leadership, customer events, and in sales situations • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to flex across a variety of roles in an innovative, fast-paced, “start- up” environment. • Results-oriented and highly productive, as demonstrated by working as a product or project manager in high performing teams that has built, deployed, and/or iterated on high tech or healthcare-related products • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to identify new program(s) & business model(s) with successful execution is preferred • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, project management and analytical skills are required • Understanding of product related financials and how to manage for profit is required • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and ability to self-manage in a complex / time sensitive environment are required • Strategic, forward looking thinker with strong cross-functional collaboration skills are required
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is required • Minimum ten (10) years combined Sales, Marketing, product management, or product development required, preferably in healthcare and/or software products and technologies. • MBA preferred but not required. • Orthopedic experience is preferred. • Experience in product launches and downstream marketing is required.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 50%
