Marketing Communications Coordinator (Creative Design)

The company, headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, owns and operates a network of full-service Case IH agricultural and Case construction equipment stores throughout Illinois and western Indiana. The Birkey's network serves the Illinois communities of Annawan, Arthur, Bloomington, Casey, Galesburg, Gibson City, Henry, Hoopeston, Macomb, Mattoon, Newton, Oakland, Polo, Prophetstown, Shelbyville, and Urbana, as well as Williamsport, IN.

ABOUT THE MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR POSITION

Birkey's is looking for a Marketing Communications Coordinator who can grow and nurture our brand. The successful applicant is extremely tech-savvy, a whiz in Adobe Creative Cloud, loves to photograph events, can write a good story, and can manage our social media calendar.

** We will only consider candidates who have at least 5 years of experience in marketing and are proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud and all social media platforms. Candidate must be comfortable or able to quickly learn Active Campaign, ClickFunnels and other digital marketing tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media + Email Marketing

  • Manage the promotional calendar. Ensure we always have 30 (and ideally 60) days of content ready to go (e.g., coordinating with local stores to gather content, design documents to share as posts, etc.)
  • Ensure posts are made daily.
  • Engage and respond with all followers' comments/questions.
  • Maintain internal tracking of success of our social campaigns.
  • Create images/documents- must be strong in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Design cover photo and format articles to be shared.
  • Prepare, test, and schedule broadcast emails 1x/week.
  • Update existing Active Campaign automations and campaigns as necessary.
  • Ensure links are always working and all graphics are professional.

Print Media

  • Coordinate design, printing, and mailing of content for both print and online.
  • Assist stores in creating ads, flyers and other promotional/marketing materials.
  • Place orders for printing and ensure the job specifics are correct for in-house and public use.
  • Organize and maintain all project assets used for printed materials.
  • Package and prepare files for release to printers. Conduct press checks.
  • Stay up to date with new production techniques and design trends through research and education.

Education/Experience:  

5 years of experience in marketing and are proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud and all social media platforms. Candidate must be comfortable or able to quickly learn Active Campaign, ClickFunnels and other digital marketing tools.

  • Ability to get around the corporate office for various tasks.
  • The employee would normally lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate equipment as necessary.
  • Must meet health assessment requirements.
