Role Purpose

As an Applications Engineer, you will use your technical skills to identify and provide dependable solutions for our diverse customer base. The Applications Engineer is the first line of support for our ESPRIT product line and is responsible for providing complete customer satisfaction regarding the use and implementation of our superior CAD/CAM software solutions

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs software and hardware training for key customers
  • Frequently travels to conduct training for major manufacturing companies across the US
  • Provides technical support to customers virtually and in-person
  • Creates and edits training material and technical documentation
  • Assists regional sales team in providing support for local customers
  • Maintains positive customer relationships through effective interaction
  • Continually develops in-depth knowledge and understanding of Hexagon's broad and expanding product portfolio
  • Generates additional business through positive interactions with customers during onsite visits
  • Keeps up with advancements in application engineering and modern technologies

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking before small groups
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Eager to learn new skills for modern advanced technologies
  • Experience with 3D engineering software
  • Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 2-5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or similar environment
