As the Global Channel Operations Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overall program administration, partner contracts, KPIs, metrics, reporting, budgeting/planning, and compensation. You will act as the team's ambassador to other departments within Blackboard including Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and Field Sales. Reporting to the Director of Global Channels & Partners, you will work closely with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Training, and Finance. Specific responsibilities will include:
Budgeting, Reporting, & Forecasting
Implementing comprehensive channel sales and pipeline reporting, tracking, and metrics
Creating and maintaining partner dashboards in CRM for team goals and partner results
Closely working with Field Sales and Sales Operations in executing partner sales forecast
Providing consistent and comprehensive status reports to management
Creating processes and managing partner lifecycle including setup, termination, territory, bill, collect, credit, etc.
Establishing and maintaining annual partner business plans, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Partners
Collaborating regionally and globally to align go-to strategy with colleagues and partners
Partnering with Legal for contract creation and management (referral, resell, co-sell, teaming, etc.)
Ensuring partners comply with Blackboard partner program requirements and KPIs
Setting up, deploying, managing, and tracking Partner compensation and quotas (with Sales, Ops, and Finance)
Driving regular business reviews with geo-Channel leads and Partners to review progress against plan
Operational Efficiency
Developing strategies to optimize Salesforce and other enterprise sales tools across all business units
Assisting in partner recruitment and due diligence as it relates to tie-in with business plans and strategy
Helping to facilitate and resolve day-to-day operations challenges and dispute resolution
Assisting in other special projects including pricing, compensation, partner program structure, etc.
The Candidate:
Has considerable experience in an operations role
Has a bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Marketing, or equivalent work experience
Can drive operational rigor, process, and cross-department collaboration
Has proven experience managing contracts, price, and compensation modeling
Can translate data and metrics into useful business insights
Has solid Salesforce reporting, dashboard development, and advanced reporting skills
Has excellent communication skills
Is proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
Is highly motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Has exceptional time management and prioritization skills, managing multiple competing deadlines and objectives
Can work remotely and travel as required (approx. 10%)
Several years of experience in a partner/alliance/channel management and development role is highly preferred
Experience in a channel operations role is desired
Experience in Higher Education and/or EdTech is a plus
An MBA degree is preferred
