Supply Chain - Sourcing Strategy Manager (Project Management)
As a Sourcing Strategy Manager, you'll serve as the primary supply chain liaison between Jabil's Enterprise & Infrastructure (E&I) Division, customers, and internal business units. You'll develop and execute supplier and sourcing strategies for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical commodities—driving innovation, optimizing cost, and enhancing competitive advantage. Your strategic influence and cross-functional leadership will directly shape the value Jabil delivers to its global customer base.
Strategic Sourcing Leadership:
Define and execute customer-specific sourcing solutions aligned with business unit and sector needs.
Develop commodity strategies that support existing and future customer product roadmaps.
Lead cross-regional supplier strategies and support intra-Jabil site transfers.
Act as a single point of contact for commodity project management across the sector.
Drive the development of differentiated supply chain solutions to support business development (BD) and revenue growth.
Supplier Development & Engagement:
Identify and develop a valuable, sector-specific supply base.
Collaborate with commodity managers to drive supplier alignment and performance.
Ensure supplier capabilities meet Jabil and customer technical requirements.
Guide supplier development initiatives to fill process or quality gaps.
Support supplier quality resolution and escalation efforts.
Technical & Operational Collaboration:
Partner with design and engineering teams to offer lower-cost material or assembly alternatives.
Attend design reviews to ensure supplier strategies align with product development.
Maintain gap analyses between customer design requirements and supplier capabilities.
Understand and guide the execution of customer qualification processes for new products.
Cost & Quoting Strategy:
Develop pricing strategies for quoting, design support, and production ramp-up.
Identify critical part numbers for quarterly supplier negotiations.
Guide cost analysis efforts and use of quoting tools.
Monitor and report on pricing trends to leadership and BD partners.
Cross-functional Communication:
Build strong relationships with Business Unit Directors, Commodity Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
Promote a culture of transparency, customer-centric thinking, and continuous improvement.
Align sector strategy with E&I leadership and Jabil corporate goals.
Facilitate the open exchange of information and foster strong internal collaboration.
Up to 20% travel.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management.
Prior experience with Jabil or similar contract manufacturing environment preferred.
Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure, large form factor sheet metal and frame assemblies, and L11 42U Rack systems required.
Combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Deep knowledge of materials, tooling, and processing across mechanical/electrical commodities (e.g., metal, plastic, packaging, hardware).
Proven success in developing supply chain strategies aligned with customer and BU needs.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, and scientific or financial documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Confident presenting to senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems; SAP a plus.
English fluency required; multilingual skills a plus.
