Civil / Structural Assistant Team Leader (Engineering)

GPI has an exciting, opening for an Assistant Team Leader to be primarily assigned to our structural condition inspection contracts with NYSDOT, NYSCC, NYSTA and NYPA. In this role, the candidate would work with a professionally licensed Team Leader, inspecting in-service infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, water control structures and overhead highway signs.

Responsibilities:
Perform on-site, structural condition inspections under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer, in accordance with industry and client standards (Visual, Tactile & NDT)Assist in the preparation of reports to document observed conditionsOperate mobile elevated work platforms, aerial drones, and remotely operated underwater vehicles
Qualifications:
Education / Experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or Associate's Degree in Engineering + 2 years of bridge-related work experience, or4 years of bridge-related work experience
Ability to work at height and adjacent to active trafficAbility to climb structures while wearing fall protection equipmentProficiency with MS Office production applicationsProficiency with AutoCAD and/ or MicroStation drafting applications is preferredRecreational or commercial diving certifications are a plusRope access credentials are a plusAn aerial drone pilot license is a plus
