Technical Trainer (Finance)
Baker Electric is looking for a strong, ambitious, training-oriented individual to join our Learning & Development Team as a Technical Trainer. We are looking for someone with construction knowledge, project management/project engineer experience, and a passion for training/L&D. This position will lead in the creation of new Baker Electric Program Manager Training program and will train throughout all levels of Baker Electric Inc. As a Technical Trainer, there will be coordination and administrative aspects, however, the main function will be the identification of training needs throughout the organization, creation of various new training programs, and continuation of Baker Electrics' organizational development. This position has endless learning and growth opportunities, will provide input on program development, and will participate in many team-based projects. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:
§ Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred - type of major: Training, Learning & Development, Psychology, Organization Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management
§ Electrical, Construction, or similar industry experience
§ Project Management/Project Engineer experience is a plus
§ Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
§ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Apple MacOS or Apple Pro Software Tools a plus
§ PM/PE Certification is a plus, not required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Facilitate/execute core competencies for Operational teams as appropriate with direction from managers
§ Gather input/feedback from Operations Teams for continuous improvement
§ Assist in identifying and assessing future and current employee training needs through job and skill set analysis and consultation with staff managers
§ Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
§ Demonstrate a high degree of personal organization and excellent facilitation and communication skills
§ Support the development and posting of learning-related content (articles, videos, documents, PDF's, and others) to the Learning & Development website
§ Supports the evaluation of training programs effectiveness by sharing relevant training outcomes and reports findings to leadership
§ Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs
§ Submits monthly training reports, attendance records, and other documentation required
§ Travel throughout job sites to conduct classes, with possible overnight travel on occasion.
§ Coordinate training registration, reminders, attendee lists, and Continuing Education Credit (CEU) submissions and inquiries
§ Distribute, monitor, and track training surveys and evaluations
§ Assist with the organization and maintenance of the Learning & Development file structure and libraries, helping to make the system more efficient
§ Translate work instructions into standard operating procedure formatting and catalogue the SOP with a document number
§ This person should be flexible, adaptable, effective, creative, and passionate about the development of our team members
Key 30, 60, 90 Day Accomplishments
§ First 30: Become comfortable with the working environment, get to know the Learning & Development team, begin exploring the many systems, tools and software utilized by the team. Start to understand the processes and current initiatives.
§ First 60: Begin meeting with the various operating teams. Start to develop a list of priorities based on their needs. Do a gap analysis based on findings. Create a roadmap and schedule based on the roadmap.
§ First 90: Start to provide suggestions on system and process efficiencies, begin to support in the development of new and ongoing training materials, start troubleshooting the various issues that may arise with trainees (pre- and post-training). Begin working on the created roadmap.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standard office environment. Individual will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Occasionally may have to lift boxes full of materials for purposes of setup of programs, typically 25 pounds or less.
