Drill and Shovel Maintenance Technician (Finance)



Montana Resources, LLC is looking for a Drill and Shovel Maintenance Technicianto join our team. At Montana Resources, our vision is to be a safe, low cost producer of copper and molybdenum. This position primarily works Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. On a rotating schedule, weekends are required and occasional after hour call-outs.

  • Strong mechanical and welding background.
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to be self-directed, team-oriented and work with minimum supervision required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations required.
  • Excellent attendance record required.
  • Proven safe work record required.
  • Team player, leadership and good interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work callouts and weekends.
  • Any special licenses', certifications, and schooling, along with maintenance cross-training and any overtime shifts worked in maintenance will also be considered.
  • Safety Record, Attendance and Work Performance will be considered prior to the interview process.
  • Must be able to obtain the required tools.
  • Conduct work area exam for assigned area(s) to identify hazardous conditions that may pose a danger to personnel and take necessary steps to correct identified conditions.
  • Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics tests, including the use of scanners and other electronic/mechanical testing equipment.
  • Repair heavy equipment including electric shovels and various drills, including preventive maintenance, rebuilds and breakdowns.
  • Fill in for the fuel and lube truck as needed, including required weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
