Associate Manager, Actuarial (Virtual) (Information Technology)

This associate will play a key role supporting the modeling and analysis of Individual Life Variable, Traditional and Interest Sensitive products for ILI Forecasting team, as well as supporting the development of the underlying framework, models, and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support quarterly STAT and GAAP projections for ILI Forecasting, communicates the results and storylines to senior managements and business partners.
  • Support strategic initiatives and any Adhoc requests from Finance, Treasurers, Enterprise Risk Management, and Corporate Actuarial   
  • Partner with Pricing team to incorporate the earnings from future sales into Forecast and independently drive New Business Forecast process
    Leverage new technology like Python, SQL, Power BI to develop and enhance analytical/attribution capabilities to improve and streamline the analysis of results
  • Maintain and run actuarial projection models (GGY Axis, Poly) including update assumptions and inforce populations; generate custom / ad hoc reports; maintain and support reporting tools; analyze and validate STAT, GAAP, and TAX income and balance projections
  • Maintain and enhance project controls and documentation in compliance with the emerging Enterprise and regulatory standards and guidelines for Actuarial models

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications.  Knowledge of JIRA, Python, SQL, Power BI is a plus
  • Experience with Actuarial Modeling software is a plus. 
  • Individual life product knowledge is desirable
  • Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate leadership, initiative, resourcefulness
  • Open to remote/virtual

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.Salary range specific to Colorado: ($89,900 to $118,330) + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
