Primary Purpose:
Financial assessment responsibilities include: ensuring accurate demographic and financial account information, interviewing patients to collect and analyze financial account and eligibility data. Program eligibility duties include analyzing financial applications along with income/resident documentation and referring qualifying accounts to eligibility vendor for Medicaid or federal disability programs. Reimbursement/collection-investigates liability situations in order to establish and obtain reimbursement. Assists patients in arranging monthly payment plans.
Knowledge and Skills:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Years of Experience: Prefer minimum 2 years' experience interviewing public regarding applications for financial assistance in health care setting.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of federal and state Medicaid laws and regulations, Social Security disability and supplemental security income disability requirements. Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
