MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR to join our team in ALBANY, GA Corrugated facility. GP is one of the nation's leading corrugated box manufacturers. Our plant is conveniently located in historic Dougherty County. We employ more than 100 people at our facility. This facility operates one of the industry's most sophisticated and modern corrugators and has an impressive array of modern finishing equipment, including flexos and die cutters to provide the widest range of corrugated packaging today. We manufacture corrugated sheets from linerboard and medium and then cut, wax, print and fold these sheets to produce corrugated boxes and trays for our various customers To find out more about our Packaging facilities, please go to www.gppackaging.com.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Being a safety steward to prioritize zero incidents in Environmental, Health and Safety
Accountability for employee development plans and people management strategies
Exhibiting strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a team of hourly employees to continuously improve performance of the individual employees and overall business
Demonstrating functional leadership skills to engage a workforce with a diverse background of knowledge and experience
Fostering and developing a culture based on our Market Based Management (MBM®) philosophy
Demonstrating strong functional knowledge of maintaining equipment used in the paper manufacturing process
Planning scheduled maintenance
Collaborating across roles, gather and share feedback
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
At least 3 years of Manufacturing or Industrial Supervisory experience
Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and PC-based production and maintenance reporting systems applications
Experience in leading improvement efforts in Reliability and Predictive and Preventive Maintenance
Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools
Experience reading mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings
Willing and able to work a flexible work schedule and work on-call/call-in hours for maintenance issues
Knowledge of PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot electrical problems
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher in Industrial Technology or Engineering
Experience with MPS computer based maintenance reporting system
