Competency Leader - Software Engineering (.Net & Mobile Technologies) (Finance)
Making an Impact
• Design architecture, standards, processes and methods which drive innovation, value and quality through the competencies. Leads the competency activities by actively managing tasks, driving collaboration and backlog prioritization.
• Consistently evaluates and improves the effectiveness of the competency through measured value received by client, client satisfaction, and ongoing sales opportunities.
• Develop, inspire, lead and coach an efficient, consistently high performing and engaged team of professionals within specific competency of focus. Foster and enable environment of collaboration to align goals across competencies. Promote and reward innovation, risk-taking and skill-building, and educate team sales and delivery on industry and technology developments through ongoing training, research and knowledge sharing. Typical span of control is 2-5 direct reports.
Sharing Expertise
• Works with specific technology experts across areas which includes Microsoft technologies, .Net Framework, Full stack engineering MS SQL, Webservices and Practice leads to build cohesiveness.
• Understands market demand, trends and dynamics that could impact the competency.
• Create and contribute to thought leadership (white papers, panels, conferences) to build our brand and increase share of voice.
• Participate in delivery of key strategic projects and programs as an active practitioner and advisor.
Gaining Exposure
• Consult with internal stakeholders (practice sales teams and account teams) and provide support on competency focused solution sales, design and implementation (i.e. support RFP, SOW efforts).
• Contribute deep technical expertise during sales process to build confidence and credibility in ability to execute. Ensure client satisfaction, control risk and monitor timeliness and quality of deliverables relevant to competency of focus throughout project life cycle.
Your Typical Day
• Conduct ongoing industry analysis and research and maintain subject matter expertise with a focus on innovation and evolution for a specific competency domain.
• Lead a team of high performers within the specific competency of focus.
• Consult with cross practice and competency team(s) on identifying and winning new business
• Other accountabilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
• 10+ years execution and oversight of complex technical practice disciplines
• Management: 3- years of successful, progressively responsible project, program and engagement management
• Domain Experience: Relevant IT/Business technologies, process and methodologies
• Key Tech Stack: .Net Framework, Microsoft technologies, Mobile Technologies (Native and Hybrid), App Cloud Migration (Public cloud like AWS, Azure), Microservices & DevOps
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience creating and publishing Thought Leadership
