Maintenance Manager - INCH - Maintenance (Project Management)



Summary
 The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation of Maintenance Department required to keep plant operating efficiently and safety.
 Manages the maintenance, rebuilding, and installation of equipment of the complete site-plant operations, ensures that equipment and facilities are reliable and capable of efficiently producing high quality products always. 
 Plans, implements and coordinates execution of medium/small capital investment projects in coordination with engineering department.  
 Monitors equipment and systems to ensure operations is in compliance with environment regulations and provide/assist with any environmental requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Duties:
 Coordinates maintenance activities and coordinates with Quality Systems, R&D, and Engineering ensuring efficiency and quality.
 Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices and Audit requirements are incorporated into maintenance and engineering activities.
 Evaluates and recommends improvements in methods, procedures and processes.
 Performs Root Cause analysis on unplanned machine failures, breakage or damage.
 Inspect equipment and creates work orders for repair items as needed.
 Prepares reports about maintenance activities.
 Organizes periodic meetings with staff to address current issues and projects and to plan for future activities.
 Provides food safety insights into plant issues as a member of the plant's HACCP team.
 Provides insight and actively participate in safety activities. Provide technical expertise to safety team members. 
 As a member of the Plant Safety Committee, provides direction to resolve plant safety issues.
 Lead the all electrical safety requirements. 
 Approves P-Card statements for staff on monthly basis.

Engineering Related Work
 Works with Engineering team and Plant Manager/Director of Operations to manage the site capital plans 
 Leads, plans and writes EA and coordinate installation of assigned capital projects.
 Directs outside contractors, coordinates and schedules assigned projects, documents all aspects, organizes all aspects, controls project schedule and costs, integrates project into operation of the plant including training.

Supports Environmental Management
 Directly manages environmental control devices based on agreed standards with SH&E manager and/or government agencies.
 Ensures compliance with pollution control standards.
 Ensure that all governmental operating licenses are maintained.
 Maintains records of all environment regulation activities and makes them available to management. 
 Provide assistances and guidance to ensure environment compliance. 

HSE Responsibilities 
 Leads the HSE team to ensure all safety requirements are met. 
 Supports HSE members to ensure all safety events, monthly training, annual audits and review of safety incidents/near misses are complete. 
 Coordinates the completion of annual safety events that includes air testing, respiratory testing and hearing test. 

Staffing Responsibilities
 Is responsible for interviewing, selecting and hiring new team members as well as onboarding and coordinating new employees training.
 Is responsible of helping design proper training program for maintenance employees along with the training coordinator.
 Trains employees on operating, safety, and quality procedures.
 Responsible for Talent Management Process for staff including performance reviews, training and counseling.
 Evaluates all department personnel for pay; awards, bonuses, promotions and raises.
 Is responsible of addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 Is responsible for managing the overtime assignment and utilization supporting production plan and budget goals.
 Ensures department attendance records are tracked in payroll system.

Knowledge and Experience
 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent knowledge
 Minimum of 10 years' experience in maintenance
 Minimum of 5 years' experience in food related industry
 Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising or managing a Maintenance Department
 Education and/or experience in Lean / Six Sigma desirable
 Minimum of 5 experience maintaining an industrial HVP facility.
