The Haverhill YMCA is seeking an One-on-One Aide to help our program staff during Before & After-school program activities. The One-on-One Aide will support the individual child in accordance with the child's IEP. The One-on-One will provide childcare, homework support, enrichment & physical activities, teach teamwork and social skills, and support the child as they grow and learn. They will also work to create a positive, nurturing relationship with the child, while building cooperative relationships with the family. On a regular day you will provide consistent supervision and communication, assist with fun activities like Arts & Crafts and ensuring the child has a successful experience in our program. 

To thrive in this position you must display an empathetic and supportive approach to our Before & After School Programs. You must also be physically able to move about quickly to have constant supervision of the child in case they try to leave the space.  This position requires availability Monday-Friday 7am to 8:45am & 3pm to 6pm. Additional support will be needed for early release days and days that there is no school. 

Before & After School Programs allow for part time, flexible jobs that are perfect for recent college grads, paraprofessionals, retired teachers, and anyone seeking meaningful work!

  • Associates Degree or qualifying college courses.
  • Willingness to accept direction and cooperate with all staff
  • Prior experience working with children in a school or similar setting 
  • Salary based on experience
  • Consistent morning and afternoon availability Monday-Friday 7am to 8:45am & 3pm to 6pm.
