Background:
The Vice-Presidency for Countries is looking for a Winter Intern with an understanding of big data sources, analytics and application of recommendations based on analyses. Interest in gathering relevant information and applying data visualization techniques to business, budget information and/or human resources applications is required. Proficiency in the use of databases. Interest in the use of data analysis for descriptive, visually compelling data analysis is expected. Experience in financial, budget and/or human resources information analysis is desired.
The team:
The Vice-Presidency for Countries (VPC) is responsible for leading the dialogue and relationship with borrowing countries; formulating the country strategies; coordinating and supervising the development of the operational program for the public sector and providing support to the development of the private sector program; coordinating the work program and the resources of the country departments and establishing annual performance goals for each of them for maximum development impact; and, coordinating the necessary resource allocation for the development of country and regional programs.
What you'll do:
o Analyze and consolidate key data related to the Employee Engagement Survey per country office, department, division and vice-presidency.
o Support all functional areas by generating standardized reports and standardized action plans as a response to the findings of the survey.
o Identify and map key datasets and reports used by all functional areas, including data sources, data ownership and frequency of use. Map the data requirements from all functional areas and identify data gaps based on the mapping of existing information.
o Consolidate key data related to all functional areas into one system/model; develop alerts for timely or automated updates; and help business users generate analytical, operational and corporate reports.
o Support the improvement of the look and feel of the Quarterly Business Reports (QBR).
