Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience that meet national and/or regional accreditation standards; a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching general and specialized courses. Applications from individuals who are ABD (all but dissertation) will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by the appointment start date. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include expertise in a wide range of courses including Introduction to World Religions, Sustainable Development and Religion, World Religions for Healthcare Professionals, experience in teaching online and in person, teaching large enrolling courses (45-450), experiential learning with undergraduates; working with student clubs; community engagement; and have experience developing and teaching online courses.The University of South Florida is a high-impact global research university dedicated to student success.
