Treasury Analyst (Finance)

Job Summary
This position is pivotal in leading advanced cash forecasting activities and optimizing liquidity management. The role involves analyzing and forecasting the company's cash position to ensure efficient cash flow management while providing strategic recommendations for financial decision-making. Responsibilities include conducting statistical and quantitative analysis of liquidity, creating, maintaining, and analyzing forecasts within Excel, Power BI, and/or CITGO's Treasury Management system.
The position focuses on reviewing treasury processes and procedures, identifying and implementing best practices with a focus on automation and leveraging tools to automate tasks, streamlining treasury operations, improving accuracy, and reducing the amount of time it takes to accomplish routine tasks.
Additionally, the role will monitor, analyze and optimize the company's short-term working capital components and support liquidity planning and drive initiatives to improve cash position and forecasting, as well as monitoring compliance with CITGO's policies to support sound cash management decisions. Engage in self-development and project management, and function independently with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time on-site position based at Houton, Texas. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
1. Cash Flow Analysis and Forecasting:
Leverage advanced financial modeling techniques, comprehensive historical analysis, and in-depth market trend evaluation to strategically analyze, forecast, and optimize the organization's cash position over short- and medium-term horizons. Oversee the continuous monitoring and assessment of cash inflows and outflows, proactively identify and address variances between projected and actual cash flows and develop accurate cash flow projections to support financial planning and decision-making.
2. Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and variance analysis reports to proactively monitor and optimize the organization's liquidity position. Optimize and maintain Power BI dashboards, ensuring integration of all relevant data from Kyriba and SAP to enhance visibility and analytical capabilities of short-term working capital and other needs. Identify and assess key trends, risks, and opportunities in cash flow management, providing strategic, data-driven insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making. Coordinate with other departments as necessary to align cash flow objectives and help develop working capital explanations at month and quarter end.
3. Treasury Operations Policies, Procedures and Process Improvements:
Learning all aspects of Treasury Operations (Payments, Bank relations, Foreign Trade). Working with our Internal controls team to make sure treasury maintains the optimum level of controls and enhance exiting Process Documentation. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and lead improvements in our existing process, introducing new banking technology / enhancing the use of our Treasury workstation to enhance the process efficiencies. Prioritizing essential tasks. Assisting with Management requests for ad-hoc reporting. Assist with implementing policies that improve payment terms, collections and inventory.
4. Perform and coordinate special projects, which may include cross-functional assignments as designated by Cash Operations Manager, Manager Treasury or Corporate Treasurer providing results and recommendations for improvements.
