This opening is for a position with the annuity STAT/Tax/Capital Actuals and Analytics team, which is part of Prudential Retirement Strategies Valuation and Projection. This team is responsible for Stat/Tax reserve  and Required Capital analysis/reporting for Individual Annuities. This role provides an opportunity to engage and drive impacts for all the insurance businesses of Prudential Financial.

Job Responsibility:

• Perform quarterly reporting of statutory reserve, tax reserve, and risk-based capital for Individual Annuities
• Participate in VM21 attribution and sensitivity analysis and present the results to actuarial senior leaders and business partners
• Support development, testing, and enhancement of valuation model/process, such as partnering with Modeling team to test actuarial modeling system conversion from Moody's AXIS to PyVal (in-house platform based on Python)
• Maintain and update the annual statutory filing, VM21 PBR Reports, AAT memos, and surveys
• Collaborate within Actuarial and across Financial Management areas (Chief Investment Office, Treasury, Enterprise Valuation, etc.) on the above
• Work with Assumption/Modeling/other stakeholders to communicate the annual assumption updates and analyze the impacts

Qualifications:

• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications.  SQL and Python knowledge is a plus.
• Annuity knowledge is desirable
• Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
• Strong verbal & written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical challenges & writing documentation
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• 3+ years of work experience in a related field
• ASA Actuarial credential is preferred
• Open to remote/virtual location outside of commutable Newark, NJ location.

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: ($108,000 to $153,400) + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits.  Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
