Utility Worker - Part time (Food Services)
Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking multiple part-time (25 hours), academic-year Utility Workers. Utility Workers work in various areas of the dining service operation to assist as needed with routine food service tasks. May be assigned to work in the dish room, in the servery, or kitchen.
When assigned to the dish room job tasks would include, clearing of food trays, rinsing dishes and trays and loading dishes into the dish washer and unloading and putting away clean dishes, sweeping, mopping floors and taking out the trash. When assigned to the kitchen, job tasks would include scrubbing pots and pans, removing trash and mopping work areas as needed. Kitchen assignment may also include the washing and peeling vegetables. When assigned to the servery tasks include serving food to customers, cleaning and restocking.
Qualifications include a High School education or equivalent required, with some basic skills in food service or restaurant. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment operations helpful and physical ability to do heavy lifting and to perform all primary job tasks.
