Production Supervisor (Finance)
As a Production Supervisor at MacLean-Fogg, you'll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. You'll coordinate work, assign tasks, and monitor performance across your assigned area or shift. - Position Type: Full-Time/Salaried (Exempt)
- Pay Range: Competitive (provided during interview)
- Work Location: Onsite - Farmington Hills, Michigan
- Shift: 3rd (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Supervise production team members, ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery, assembly of products, quality checks, and packaging
- Assign work tasks, monitor output, and ensure production goals for quantity and quality are met
- Coordinate work across shifts and departments to maintain smooth production flow
- Identify equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering teams to address repairs or preventive maintenance
- Monitor inventory levels in your area to ensure materials are available for production without causing delays
- Collaborate with production planning and materials teams to align staffing and supplies with schedules
- Support quality control checks and work with quality assurance to ensure product standards are met
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment by enforcing 5S practices
- Complete shift reports, inventory logs, safety checks, and other production documentation accurately and on time
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to support operational efficiency
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Strong communication and task coordination skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and adjust work as needed to meet production demands
- Problem-solving abilities to identify and address production issues
- Basic data assessment to spot trends or bottlenecks and apply solutions
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Required to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending and stooping required.
- Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
- Must be able to work in noisy environments.
